Hedging

The roses listed with this section are those which would be well suited to creating a more striking and colourful choice for hedging.

Roses make an excellent choice of hedging for areas used heavily in summer as they bring colour and fragrance into the garden. Due to their thorny growth they can also act as a fantastic deterrent for intruders.

Roses should be planted approximately 2ft apart, to achieve a thick and plush hedge. Heights vary on these varieties but there are heights suitable from 3ft to up to 6ft, depending on your needs.
