Roses For Shaded Areas

Most rose varieties require half a day of sun or more in order to produce bloom, but in some areas such as North walls or areas secluded by trees where you may wish to have some roses to brighten up areas of the garden which can often be forgotten.

These varieties are suited to these more shadier spots (they can also be planted in sunnier spots if required), many of those listed below are climbing varieties which make them perfect for growing up tree trunks. Do remember that roses that are in areas that are covered by trees or planted alongside other plants with large root systems may require additional watering.
