Souvenir Du Docteur Jamain
Souvenir du Docteur Jamain originates from way back in 1865 and is still extremely popular! We had to include this variety into our range of climbing roses for its truly stunning colour of deep, crimson/purple, shapely blooms. Producing singularly and in nice sized clusters with the most glorious perfume, upright growth, and silver-green matt foliage, this is a wonderful rose.
With the Souvenir du Docteur Jamain, try to avoid a very hot position to get the best of the colour. It performs well in a semi-shaded open airy area or north wall/fence but can suffer a little mid-season with mildew triggered by warm humid conditions, so spray regularly for good control.
